Dirty Fun, Clean Toys

With all the different materials being used in toys it can be hard to keep track of which ones are which. Fortunately, all of our products can be cleaned with toy cleaner and water and left out to air dry; just don’t submerge your vibe if it’s not waterproof, not all toys can swim.

While toys can be washed this way, there are some differences among them still. Some toys are non-porous, which makes them easier to keep clean. We recommend that porous toys be covered with a condom, especially if they’re used by more than one person, for anal play, or by folks sensitive to yeast infections.

Most toys we carry are made out of one of the following 5 materials:
Clean Toys

Though these are the most commonly used, there are of course other toy materials including Softskin, Latex, Leather, and even Wood.

Glass
• Our glass toys are very durable borosilicate or sodalime glass and resist breakage. Glass warms to body heat very quickly and is practically frictionless in use, especially with some lube. Hard, warm, and smooth? Sign me up!
Stainless Steel
• Stainless Steel is very similar to glass in its smooth, heat absorbing glide, but its added weight is perfect for applying deep pleasure-filled pressure on the G-Spot and Prostate.
Plastic
• Hard or ABS plastic is a popular choice for firm vibrators such as smoothies and bullets. It transmits vibration nicely and is generally inexpensive which is great for starter vibes!
Elastomer
• Elastomer is a type of rubber often used for masturbation sleeves, rings, and some vibrator designs due to its elasticity and ease to mold into unique shapes. Elastomer toys provide a soft squishy feel which many people enjoy. Elastomer toys are porous and are often built to be replaced over time/use, much like a toothbrush, but they are generally inexpensive, which makes them a great way to explore.
Silicone
• Silicone is a gold standard for rubbers. It is non-porous, and often used in dildos, vibrators, and anal toys. Silicone is typically a firm rubber but can also come in a softer dual-density which allows it to feel more like flesh while remaining non-porous. In addition to soap and water, you can disinfect them in boiling water for 5 minutes, or in the top rack of your dishwasher. Be sure not to boil or dishwash your toy however if it has a built-in motor. Even if the toy is waterproof, the vibrator isn’t heat-proof.
Now you know how to keep ‘em clean and take the stress out of making a mess! Enjoy yourself.
